Urban Money Project
To close the wealth gap, a pathway of Equity to Equality is needed to address the issues that plague minorities, particularly, Black and African-American communities, economically.
The Urban Money Project has four elements on the Equity to Equality agenda that is used to influence change in a meaningful way.
Economic Empowerment, uses tools and resources to educate and inform the public about financial systems, how they are designed, and how to utilize effectively to improve personal financial decisions.

With the understanding that teaching how to manage money, does not eradicate the systems implemented to keep minorities at a disadvantage, Policy and Advocacy methods holds elected officials accountable to the people they represent.
How are we going to do this?
Introduce legislation for personal finance education in public schools
Collaboration with Hunter Graduate Students for Research and Strategic Planning
Introduce legislation for African-American History in public schools
Currently seeking a research team for this initiative.
Additionally, real estate is still one of the most significant elements of wealth; while promoting homeownership through Economic Empowerment, the Economic Development element resists displacement and embraces the beauty and value of minority neighborhoods.
